Florida requires ALL food service employees to be trained on proper food handling and hygiene practices every three years. Only division-approved training programs are accepted as meeting the training requirement. This training must be completed within 60 days of hire per Florida Statute 509.049.
Ensuring food safety is a crucial aspect of any food service establishment, be it a restaurant or catering company. Neglecting this important aspect could lead to a foodborne illness outbreak, posing a threat to your customers’ health and your business’s reputation. To prevent such a predicament, health inspectors conduct regular checks to ensure that everything is up to code and safe for consumption. Prioritizing food safety not only safeguards your customers’ well-being but also contributes to the smooth functioning and longevity of your business.
Our DBPR-approved training programs certify staff in safe food handling. We offer various options including video-based and online courses, as well as onsite training with an instructor and paper booklet materials. Let us help you tailor your food handler training program to meet the unique needs of your establishment.
