All of the following requirements must be met to be considered a Qualified Responsible Vendor (F.S. 561.705):

New Employees: Are required to complete training within 30 days of employment and managers within 15 days of employment.

Personnel Questionnaire Forms: A written questionnaire for the employee that must be completed as a condition of her or his employment providing the vendor their information.

Acknowledgment Form (Company Policies): A form signed by the employee agreeing to the immediate dismissal if the employee who engages in the illegal use or sale of controlled substances (DRUGS) on the license premises.  

Tri-Annual Update Meetings: All employees must attend an update meeting every 4 months and are required to sign a meeting roster sheet.                   

Employee Tests: After completing the training, a test is administered to ensure knowledge transfer.

Signage: Required signage of vendor’s policies against the sale and service of alcoholic beverages or tobacco products to underage persons, or illegal use of or trafficking of controlled substances.

The Division of Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco has made it clear that in order for a beverage license holder to receive mitigation (reduced penalties) for a beverage law violation, they need to be 100% in compliance with the requirements of the Responsible Vendor Law.
